Bharti Airtel is progressing to set-up a brand new technology centre in Pune to support digital services within the Western region and can be hiring around five hundred digital engineering professionals by the tip of the present financial , a senior company official aforesaid. This will be Airtel's fourth digital technology hub in Republic of India and 1st within the Western region to support its strategy to pivot to a digital services company, particularly as 5G services ar on the horizon.

Confirming the plans, Bharti Airtel chief info officer Pradipt Kapoor told PTI that Airtel is apace scaling up its in-house digital talent pool to support its transformation into a digital telephone company. "Pune being a longtime IT and school hub, makes it an understandable alternative for Airtel to faucet into the talent pool and additionally drive cross-industry collaboration," Kapoor aforesaid.


The forthcoming facility in Pune can at the start be home to five hundred digital engineering professionals.


Airtel is wanting to rent across multiple expertise and domains – massive knowledge, Machine Learning, Dev Ops, Tech ops, etc. Airtel already has similar digital technology hubs in Gurgaon, Bengaluru (Airtel X-Labs) and Noida. These facilities use getting ready to three,000 people.
